Kansas City (9/22): Teamed with Tebucky Jones to sack Trent Green for a loss of eight yards in the first quarter … Recorded five tackles (3 solos). Buffalo (12/8): Made three solo tackles and came up with a key pass defense that led to an interception in the Patriots 27-17 win over the Bills … Got his hands on a Drew Bledsoe pass and deflected it into the air, where it was grabbed by Richard Seymour for an interception that led to a touchdown two plays later. Tennessee (12/16): Teamed with Roman Phifer to sack Steve McNair for a loss of two yards. Miami (12/29): Tied for second on the team and established his Patriots career high with seven tackles (4 solos) in New England’s come-from-behind, 27-24 overtime win over the Dolphins … Sacked Jay Fiedler for a loss of a yard in the second quarter.

2001 Season

Started all 16 regular season games on the defensive line and registered 43 tackles (35 solos), six sacks, two interceptions and forced one fumble … Finished tied for second with Willie McGinest on the team with six sacks … Recorded the first two interceptions of his 12-year career during the 2001 season … Pleasant was one of four Patriots defenders who started all 16 games during the 2001 season (Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy and Roman Phifer). N.Y. Jets (9/23): Collected three tackles, including a sack of Vinny Testaverde on a third down play forcing a Jets punt … Part of a defense which limited the Jets to 238 total yards, the lowest total by a Patriots opponent in 2001. Buffalo (12/16): Sacked Bills quarterback Alex Van Pelt for a seven-yard loss and forced him to fumble on the final play of the fourth quarter. Miami (12/22): Collected three tackles, including a sack of Jay Fiedler for a two-yard loss … Part of defensive front that held the Dolphins to just 58 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.1 avg). Oakland (1/19): Started at defensive end and was part of defensive front that held the Raiders to just 77 yards rushing on 30 carries (2.6 avg.). Pittsburgh (1/27): Recorded the first postseason sack of his 12-year career when he brought down Kordell Stewart for a two-yard loss in the second quarter. St. Louis (2/3): Collected a postseason-high five tackles as the Patriots defeated the Rams 20-17 in Super Bowl XXXVI.
2000 Season

With San Francisco 49ers: Started all 16 games at defensive end for the 49ers … He was one of only three 49er defenders who started all 16 games (Brentson Buckner and Ken Norton Jr.) … Credited with 23 tackles (18 solos), including two sacks and two passes defensed. Carolina (9/10): Credited with three quarterback pressures. Dallas (9/24): Registered one solo tackle and was part of defense that held the Cowboys to 298 total yards in the 49ers 41-24 win. Arizona (10/1): Tallied two solo tackles and one quarterback pressure in 27-20 win. Carolina (10/22): Posted three solo tackles, including four-yard sack, and one pass defensed. New Orleans (11/5): Recorded three tackles (2 solos), despite dislocating right ring finger in third quarter. Kansas City (11/12): Registered two solo tackles as the 49ers limited the Chiefs to 49 yards rushing in 21-7 win. Atlanta (11/19): Credited with one solo tackle and helped the defense hold the Falcons to 211 total yards in 16-6 win. Denver (12/23): Set a season-high with four solo tackles, including a two-yard sack and one pass defense at Broncos.
1999 Season

With New York Jets: Started all 16 games at defensive end and led all Jets defensive linemen in tackles with 52 (41 solos) … Added two sacks and four passes defensed. New England (9/12): Opened season with a three tackle performance. Buffalo (9/19): Celebrated his 100th career start with a four tackle performance. Washington (9/26): Tallied five tackles and one sack when he dropped Brad Johnson for a four-yard loss. Denver (10/3): Led all defensive lineman with four tackles in Jets first win of season. Arizona (11/7): Tallied four tackles and helped the Jets defense hold the Cardinals to just 55 yards rushing on 18 carries in 12-7 win. New England (11/15): Started and recorded a season-high six tackles, including one sack for a nine yard loss. Buffalo (11/21): Registered five tackles and a pass defense in 17-7 win over the Bills. N.Y. Giants (12/5): Tied his season-high with six tackles. Miami (12/12): Contributed two tackles and one pass defense in Jets 28-20 win over the Dolphins and helped limit their rushing attack to only 69 yards. Dallas (12/19): Pressured Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman throughout the contest and finished with three tackles in the Jets 22-21 win. Seattle (1/2): Made two tackles and had a pass defense and helped limit the Seahawks to 33 rushing yards on 12 carries in the season finale.
1998 Season
