PATRIOTS CHEERLEADER AUDITIONS

2015 Patriots Cheerleaders Audition Dates Announced

APPLY FOR CHEERLEADING POSITION >>
MUST apply online for position prior to auditioning

Audition to become a cheerleader for the four-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots and enjoy many possible opportunities such as:
  • Make public appearances throughout New England in support of our communities' charitable organizations
  • Perform for 70,000 fans during nationally televised games
  • Model for the Patriots Cheerleaders’ annual swimsuit calendar
  • International travel
  • Create memories that will last a lifetime!

Two unique opportunities are available:

Patriots Cheerleaders Dance Squad
The Patriots Cheerleaders dance team performs at Patriots home games. They are requested to attend a minimum of two rehearsals per week. In addition to performing on the sidelines at Patriots games at Gillette Stadium, the dance squad participates in public appearances throughout the community. Members of the dance team are also featured in the swimsuit calendar and poster. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have a GED by the date of preliminary auditions to participate. There is no age limit or height requirement. In order to audition, you must first complete an online application (link above). On the day of auditions you should bring three photos, a resume and a $20.00 audition fee. Resumes should outline educational and occupational background and any community service, public speaking and modeling experience you may have. Photos can be color or black and white and must be size 5 x 7 or larger. One full-length and one headshot should be included, as well as one candid photo which has had no photo-retouching done. Photos can reflect any type of outfit you choose; jeans, business attire, formal, swimwear, fitness apparel - it’s your choice. Photos and resumes will not be returned. Cash, checks or money orders, made payable to the New England Patriots, are acceptable for the audition fee.

Patriots Cheerleaders Promotional Model Squad
As part of our responsibility to the community and to our team partners, public and game day appearances are becoming an increasingly important squad role. Due to the large volume of appearance requests we receive, we have assembled an elite squad for promotional appearances and event participation. A Patriots Cheerleader promotional model is a non-performing squad member specifically chosen for her specialization in, and availability for, public and game-day appearances. Promotional models are outgoing and articulate. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have a GED by the date of final auditions to participate. There is no age limit or height requirement. Patriots Cheerleader promotional models may be asked to attend some rehearsals with advanced notice. Members of the promotional model team are also featured in the annual swimsuit calendar and poster. Promotional models are not required to participate in the dance round of the auditions. As noted, you must first apply for cheerleading position online (link above). Promotional model candidates should mail in three photos, a resume and a $15.00 processing fee. Photos, resumes and processing fee must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) at Gillette Stadium by February 6, 2015. (Your resume/photos will not be considered until your online application is completed). Checks or money orders should be made payable to New England Patriots. Promotional model candidates do not attend preliminary auditions on the 28th. They are notified if they are chosen to participate in final auditions on March 14th, based on their personal interview. Reminder that dance team candidates should NOT mail in resumes/photos. They should be brought the day of auditions. If a dance team applicant does not advance during the dance round, she can still be considered for the promotional team and will be notified by phone or email if she has been selected to still participate in finals. Participants will be taught choreographed dance combinations and may be given an opportunity to perform a freestyle combination as well (music will be determined on the day of preliminaries). Several tabulations will be made throughout the day and approximately 40+ dancers will be selected to participate in the final auditions. Each dancer advancing to finals will schedule a half hour personal interview with the cheerleader director at Gillette Stadium at a mutually convenient date and time prior to final auditions.

OPTIONAL AUDITION WORKSHOP

Our Optional Audition Workshop, originally scheduled for January 24, is being rescheduled due to a predicted snowstorm. A new date and time will be posted in early February. (Those who pre-registered will see a credit to their charge cards within 12 business days).

Following is information pertaining to our Optional Audition Workshop, a program designed to better prepare candidates for the audition process. Though attendance at the workshop is not required, it is highly recommended. It’s common for workshop participants to be successful in the audition process as they are well prepared. You will meet members of the 2014 Patriots Cheerleading squad and will learn several dance combinations with choreography similar to the level that will be taught at spring tryouts. The free-style round of auditions will be discussed. The Patriots Cheerleaders’ personal trainer and creator of BMAX, Andy Berler, will host a customized workout to jump start your fitness and nutrition programs in advance of auditions. The final segment of the day will include a detailed discussion regarding the agenda for audition days, judging criteria, proper attire, hair and makeup suggestions, resume and photo requirements and some tips on how to have an outstanding interview. You will also be informed on what to expect should you be selected for the 2015 cheerleading squad including information on rehearsals, personal appearances, photo shoots, game days and travel opportunities. The discussion will end with a Q&A segment.

This workshop is open to participants only. Guests will not be permitted inside the event facility. At registration you will be required to sign a waiver prior to your participation. You should wear fitted workout attire and sneakers or dance shoes. Hair and makeup should be “performance ready”. Although judging does not take place during this event, remember that first impressions are lasting and you want to feel and look your best. Be sure to bring plenty to drink and a healthy lunch.

At the conclusion of the program, each person attending the clinic will receive a panoramic poster of the 2014 Patriots Cheerleading squad. The most important material you'll take home with you will be practical and valuable information on the audition process.

Date of Optional Audition Workshop: Will be announced in early February

Location: Gillette Stadium

Directions can be obtained at the stadium's web site: www.gillettestadium.com
Follow directional signage once on stadium grounds

Time: To be determined
