If you're not truly a Boston play-by-play broadcaster until you've called a championship, then Bob Socci earned his stripes last February, as he described the Patriots' thrilling Super Bowl win in Arizona. Socci returns for his third season in the booth as the team's radio voice on 98.5 The Sports Hub and its 38-station network.
The veteran broadcaster brings enthusiasm, accuracy and a tireless work ethic, honed over 16 years as the voice of the Navy Midshipmen. He also spent the last decade calling Minor League Baseball, most recently for the Pawtucket Red Sox, and he's been the television voice for Patriot League basketball on CBS Sports Network.
Socci is joined in the booth by former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak, who's entering his fourth season as action analyst. Prior to moving upstairs, he spent a season with the legendary broadcast team of Gil Santos and Gino Cappelletti as a sideline reporter. Prior to that, he served six seasons as a co-host of "Patriots Preview" and "Patriots Postgame" on the Radio Network. He's currently heard daily as co-host of the Gresh and Zolak Show on the Sports Hub, where his experience as a pro athlete and his boundless energy keep Boston listeners engaged and entertained all year long.
The game day experience on the Network starts three hours before kickoff with "Patriots Preview," with new hosts Marc Bertrand and Christopher Gasper.
