The Patriots have reportedly added another name to their list of free agent visitors as ESPNBoston.com indicates defensive end Matt Shaughnessy is in Foxborough today.
Shaughnessy spent 2013 with Arizona, where he started 12 of 16 games and finished with 31 tackles and three sacks. He also spent time as a strongside linebacker with the Cardinals. Prior to last season the 27-year-old Shaughnessy spent four seasons with Oakland after being selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 2009 draft out of Wisconsin.
For his career Shaughnessy has started 41 of 67 games and has recorded 131 tackles and 18.5 sacks.
