Browner: "I am a New England Patriot"

New England has made headlines thus far in free agency by beefing up its secondary big-time. With the news of Darrelle Revis’ signing still leaving many incredulous, the Patriots have now also added Brandon Browner, a large, physical cornerback who was a Pro Bowler in 2011.
Browner took to Twitter a short time ago to announce his move from the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks to Foxborough. His deal is reportedly for three years and $17 million.
“Today,” Browner wrote, “I am proud to announce that I am a New England Patriot. I am honored that the Patriots are making me part of their legendary organization, and am grateful for the opportunity Mr. Kraft, Coach Belichick, Nick Caserio and the entire team have given me. I intend to diligently work with the same passion and dedication that I have displayed since coming into the NFL to uphold the great traditions and qualities that are embodied by the Patriots.”
The 29-year-old (6-4, 220) will start the 2014 regular season on suspension for four games, a carry-over from last season, when he missed the final five games of Seattle’s regular season for violating the NFL’s policy on substance abuse.
