Belichick responds to Mallett trade report
The opinions, analysis and/or speculation expressed on the PFW Blog represent those of individual authors, and unless quoted or clearly labeled as such, do not represent the opinions or policies of the New England Patriots organization, front office staff, coaches and executives. The site later backtracked on the initial report, although various other national outlets seemed to lend credence to the rumors that New England might ship the fourth-year former third-round pick to the Texans.
Bill Belichick was asked during his press conference after the first round of the draft whether he’d had discussions about a possible trade for Mallett.
His tone and response seemed to indicate pretty clearly that he wasn’t too happy with the reports.
“Why don’t you talk to whoever wrote the story? Since that person has all the answers, go talk to them,” Belichick said.
