From spooky to 'toasty,' Patriots get into Halloween spirit

Whether they were trick-or-treating with their kids or just acting like kids themselves, the Patriots took Halloween seriously this year.

Halloween is very serious business for the Patriots. It's a chance to use their imaginations to create hilarious or scary costumes. It's also an opportunity to dress up with their kids and hit the town in pursuit of king sized candy bars.

On social media, the Patriots were quick to show off the outfits they sported to celebrate Halloween.

Some of the guys got in the Halloween spirit a day early, dressing up as super heroes for a party at Gillette Stadium, where pediatric cancer patients dressed up and spent time with players.

Devin McCourty even liked his Wolverine costume so much, he rocked it Tuesday night alongside his new sidekick, his daughter dressed as a skunk.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen poked fun at themselves, dressing as avocado and a piece of toast respectively.

The toast to my avocado... Happy Halloween everyone! 👻🔮

Marcus Cannon rocked a killer hat, either posing as a cowboy or the Man in Black from HBO's "Westworld." The jury is out on this one.

Duron Harmon and Lawrence Guy got their families in on a group costume, and they are adorable. Roles were reversed for the Harmon family, and Lawrence was a Disney prince for his daughter.

Finally, Ted Karras and Joe Thuney had some fun scaring the neighborhood trick-or-treaters, but at least they had the courtesy of handing out only the finest candy bars (aka king sized).

We can't wait to see what next Halloween brings.
