After an appearance on "Good Morning America," Tom capped off the day with a visit to "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," and let's just say it was epic.
The visit on "The Late Show," of course, brought the laughs. Tom gave Stephen a slice of pliability treatment, including a forearm massage. Complete with lotion, some hilarious looks from Stephen and perfect music, it was a hilarious sight.
"The last person to do this on the show was Joe Biden," Stephen said.
But, by far, the highlight of Tom's appearance proved a classic Tom Brady anecdote true. Before Tom's 40th birthday, ESPN's Mike Reiss dug up old, unheard stories about the GOAT, and one from Brian Hoyer stood out.
According to Brian, Tom can chug a beer faster than anyone, and with pressure from Stephen, he showed the world that it was no rumor.
Stephen and Tom got into a chug-off, and with seemingly a single gulp, Tom was done. You truly have to see it to believe it.
Aside from a quick treatment session and an even quicker drink, Stephen asked Tom about dealing with a loss in the Super Bowl.
"What’s your way of dealing with it because I know you don’t really drink what’s your way of calming yourself down," Stephen asked. "I cry mostly," Tom said.
"Did you bring any pictures because that would be a great model for young men to be able to share their feelings when they’re hurt," Stephen said. "That’s a very positive message."
They also covered what foods he indulges with and his hatred of strawberries despite never having eaten one (Tom did try one on air), and "The TB12 Method."
The method, Tom said, has helped him play 18 seasons successfully in the NFL.
"So 18 more? What is it," Stephen said.
"Oh hell no. No way," Tom said with a laugh.
"I’m just saying no one’s ever done that. If you’re really competitive, you would go for it. I thought you were a winner," Stephen said.
