New England's Pop Warner champs get Super Bowl aid for sixth straight year

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots Alumni Club (NEPAC) announced today a donation of $11,250 to help eight New England Pop Warner championship teams travel to the National Championships in Orlando, Florida.

This year, four Massachusetts teams, two Rhode Island teams and three Connecticut team were the beneficiaries of NEPAC's contribution, with $1,250 going to each team to assist with travel costs. This is the sixth straight year NEPAC has helped defray traveling expenses for the New England champions, since each team is required to raise its own funds to get to the tournament.

"We are glad to help these children have this once-in-a-lifetime chance to compete in the Pop Warner Super Bowl and visit Disney World," said NEPAC President and former Patriots center Peter Brock.  "Participating in football programs like these is very special and helps build character, teamwork and camaraderie. This is a great fit with our mission to support and fund youth and high school sports programs."

Earlier this year, the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation donated six ticket packages to the New England Pop Warner programs to help them raise funds through raffles. Winners of the raffles received tickets to the Patriots versus Giants game on November 6.

Created in 2005, NEPAC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to supporting and funding youth and high school sports programs throughout New England with an emphasis on football.  NEPAC provides an opportunity for former New England Patriots players to remain actively involved with each other, the Patriots organization and the community.

NEPAC would like to congratulate the following Pop Warner champions:

East Lynn Bulldogs- Massachusetts
Brookline Jamaica Plain Patriots- Massachusetts
Worcester Vikings- Massachusetts
West Lynn Rams- Massachusetts
East Providence Townies- Rhode Island
Mount Hope Cowboys - Rhode Island
New Haven Steelers – Connecticut
