In today's Patriots.com News Blitz, Tedy Bruschi may have sustained a wrist fracture in Monday's camp. Wideouts Chad Jackson and Bam Childress made their first appearances yesterday at camp, and defensive end Richard Seymour is expected to return today. Running back Corey Dillon and linebacker Roosevelt Colvin may not be rookies any more, but there's still some gas in their tanks. It's all part of the Patriots.com News Blitz.

Boston Herald writer John Tomase breaks a story explaining linebacker Tedy Bruschi's absence from the last three practices. Apparently Bruschi may have suffered a wrist fracture at Monday's camp. Bruschi, 33, is in his first full season back since suffering a stroke last year.

Tomase also reports that defensive end Richard Seymour is expected to return for today's training camp practice. On the physically unable to perform list since the start of camp, a source yesterday said Seymour and the team agreed to sideline him until the four-year extension he agreed to this winter could become official. Also in this article, Tomase announces the arrival of wideouts Bam Childress and Chad Jackson at camp.

According to The Boston Globe, quarterback Tom Brady has been more vocal about wideout Deion Branch's holdout that he's been in recent years. ``The bottom line is that Deion is one of the best in the world at what he does," Brady told SI.com. ``It's so hard for him and for us because this is really a ruthless sport."

The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss offers camp notes and reports that Tom Brady is back on the field after a short hiatus.

Reiss also offers an interview with running back Corey Dillon. Dillon, 31, says he's lighter than he's been since coming to New England (from Cincinatti) for the 2004 season. ``This offseason, that was my whole goal, trying to get a little leaner and a little stronger," said Dillon.

Don't forget to check Mike Reiss' daily blog, which reports that today's training camp practice time has been moved back to 3:00pm.

Jennifer Toland of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Micheal Parenti of the Woonsocket Call both report that linebacker Roosevelt Colvin is, in large part, recovered from the hip injury he sustained early in the 2003 season. Colvin started the last 11 games for the Patriots last season, and is hoping to have his best season yet.
