In today's blitz, members of the Patriots discuss slowing down Titans Running back Chris Johnson, learn which rookie could see significant playing time Sunday, find out who's injured on the defensive line and see how the signing of Junior Seau impacts the defense. Also in the blitz, think you know how old Junior Seau is? Read some comparisons to the veteran and Tom Brady comments about a lack of long receptions.

A challenging task awaits the Patriots Sunday when RB Chris Johnson comes to Foxborough. Johnson is a noted speedster and the team's defense is well informed. "You can’t catch (Johnson) from behind. That is where he is so dangerous. If you don’t get him at the point of attack it is going to be a long day for any defense," said LB Jerod Mayo according to the Boston Herald. Coach Bill Belichick added that Johnson is "a threat to go anywhere."

Rookie T Sebastian Vollmer could get the nod for Sunday's game if T Matt Light is inactive due to a right knee injury. Read Vollmer's comments about gaining experience according to the Boston Herald.

ESPN.com reports DL Ty Warren missed practice Wednesday due to a calf injury. Warren's status for Sunday is unknown.

The signing of veteran LB Junior Seau could be just what the Patriots defense needs according to The Union Leader. The story suggests the defense might utilize a 3-4 scheme again, a system they deserted in past weeks. The story also talks about what the signing could mean for LB Adalius Thomas.

See where LB Junior Seau lands on the NFL's oldest players list according to ESPN.com.

QB Tom Brady commented about a shortage of lengthy pass plays, specifically those of 40 yards or more. "You’ve got to hit them. That’s why you play quarterback. You’ve got to go out and complete the balls that are there when we have opportunities down the field. You don’t get them often and when you get them you have to really take advantage of them," Brady said according to The Enterprise. Brady added that Bill Belichick "hammered" the offense because of this missing part of their game.
