The media reports on the team's ground game, learn which player will be sidelined, Mike Wright talks about the wildcat offense, the team adds a tight end and learn a few defensive stats. Also, read Bill Belichick's comments on facing the Dolphins and see where the Patriots land in ESPN's power rankings.

OT Nick Kaczur said that no team can afford to be one-dimensional on offense saying "diversity is where you need to be." The Patriots have followed suit according to the Boston Globe. The offense has displayed a more balanced attack in the last five games as QB Tom Brady dropped back to pass 196 times compared to 139 rushing plays. In their first two games, the offense threw the ball 102 times and ran a running play 42 times. "we’ve been able to balance off our offensive game - the running game, play-action, and those things," coach Bill Belichick said.

A source reports DL Jarvis Green could miss 2-4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery to help repair a meniscus injury. The Boston Globe says the source expects Green to be ready for the "stretch drive" of the season.

The "wildcat" offense helped end the Patriots' 21-game regular-season winning streak last season. As the team prepares to counter the cat, DL Mike Wright shared his confidence concerning any offense the Dolphins bring according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. "The Wildcat, the regular offense, all that stuff. They’re well balanced, they’re good all over, and we’re going to be ready.”

ESPN Boston reports the team added TE Rob Myers to their practice squad and TE Robbie Agnone on the practice squad/injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury.

Fox Sports reports the Patriots have the league's third-stingiest defense (14.0) and generate the fourth-most turnovers (15).

Bill Belichick's comments on the Dolphins according to the Providence Journal: "[They’re] a good football team — good on defense, tough, [they] run the ball well, [they make] big plays in the kicking game and seeing that we obviously didn’t do very well against [them] up here last year, hopefully we can be a little more competitive this time around."

ESPN.com has the Patriots fifth in their power rankings. They held the same position as last week because of the bye week.
