In today's blitz, Ty Warren uses the bye week to his advantage, Myron Pryor speaks up, Tom Brady comments on the team's bye week, a linebacker speaks about the Wildcat offense and find out which Dolphins receiver deserves close attention. Also, Wes Welker's efforts after the catch are of note and find out who's currently playing their best football according to one source.

DL Ty Warren was seen limping off the Wembley Stadium field late in the third quarter of the Patriots' 35-7 victory over Tampa Bay in Week 7. The bye week gave Warren additional time to heal and he's expected to play Sunday when the Miami Dolphins come to Gillette Stadium according to the Boston Globe.

DL Myron Pryor is not afraid to ask for assistance during his rookie year, perhaps leading to a breakthrough not many saw coming. Although expected to be behind DL Ron Brace on the depth chart, Pryor has seen significant playing time this season and could see more with DL Jarvis Green sidelined for 2-4 weeks. The Boston Herald reports he always speaks up when in need of direction. "I always ask - the older guys, coaches - even if I know what I’m doing on a play,” Pryor said. "I want to make sure we’re not supposed to play it differently or something. I always ask. If you don’t ask . . ."

QB Tom Brady believes the team had a beneficial bye week. Read his comments here according to ESPN Boston.

The Providence Journal reports LB Jerod Mayo believes patience is key in defending Wildcat schemes. Mayo played against Wildcat-like offenses in college but says "Miami has taken it to a new level now."

Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. had arguably the best game of his career last Sunday against the Jets in returning two kicks for 100 yards or more for two touchdowns. How do the Patriots intend to slow down the third-year speedster? Click here to find out what Bill Belichick thinks.

How good is WR Wes Welker after making a catch? ESPN.com reports "He leads all NFL receivers and ranks sixth when you include running backs and tight ends. He has 266 YAC, an average of 5.8 per reception."

S Brandon Meriweather's 2009 season is a coming out party of sorts. CBS Sports released a list on improving players and noted that Meriweather is "playing his best football and might be the team's defensive MVP. His range is key. He has two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown."
