In today's blitz, the Patriots look to bounce back after Indy, find out who's eager to return, a new player is added to the practice squad, Bill Belichick discusses red zone struggles, learn about a new receiver and is the Patriots defense inconsistent?

Worried about the Patriots losing back-to-back games? The Boston Globe reports the Patriots have lost consecutive games just once in the last seven seasons under Bill Belichick. The Patriots welcome the New York Jets to Gillette Stadium Sunday to avenge a Week 2 loss. "They’ve beat us the last two times we’ve played them, we need to try to reverse that trend," said Belichick. "It’s a big challenge in this league every week, it doesn’t matter who you play. The division games are even bigger."

The Boston Herald reports T Matt Light is eager to return but it’s unknown if he'll play Sunday. Rookie T Sebastian Vollmer has stepped in during Light's absence and some believe he could take the starting job. Read Light's reaction here.

The team signed DL Adrian Grady to the practice squad according to ESPN Boston.

The Patriots recorded no touchdowns against the Jets in their first contest, including going 0-3 in the red zone. Bill Belichick explains why those struggles continue according to the Providence Journal.

WR Isaiah Stanback has made his way to the Patriots roster and saw his first action last Sunday against the Colts. Stanback, who was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2007 draft, got more playing time than WRs Julian Edelman and Sam Aiken. He took WR Brandon Tate's spot on the roster after Tate was placed on IR according to the Boston Globe.

The Assosiated Press writes the Patriots defense lacks consistency and defensive coordinator Dean Pees reiterated that point. "We're a little bit inconsistent at this point in time, and that's across the board basically with the young guys, and no particular guy."
