As a senior in 2007, played in 12 games and started in 11 of those contests... Moved to linebacker during the season... Finished third on the team with 87 tackles... Tallied a career-high 15 tackles against Boise State... Named WAC Defensive Player of the Week for performance against San Jose State that included 13 tackles, making 33 tackles... Also intercepted two passes... As a sophomore in 2005, played in 11 games, making nine starts at running back for the Bulldogs... Tallied 155 carries for 672 yards and eight touchdowns... Had two 100-yard rushing performances, including a career-high 155 yards and two touchdowns against Hawaii... Saw action in seven games at running back as a freshman in 2004
Mark Dillard was born the son of Mark and Ernestine Dillard on December 5, 1986... Lettered three years at Glen oaks High School (Baton Rouge, La.) where he played strong safety and running back... Rushed for over 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns... Also recorded over 120 tackles... Won the 2004 Louisiana Class 5A State Championship in the 100 and 400-meters... Was a member of the outdoor track and field team at Louisiana Tech... Helped to lead his 400-meter relay team to the WAC Outdoor Championship in 2006... Finished fourth in the 100-meters and 200 at the 2005 WAC Championship.
