SEASONAL REVIEWS

2013 (16/12)
  • Started at linebacker in the seaosn opener at Buffalo (9/8).
  • Compiled 10 tackles vs. Tampa Bay (9/22).
  • Made a career-high 22 tackles at Cincinnati (10/6) and his second career interception as the Bengals were driving deep into Patriots territory. Spikes’ 22 tackles were the most in a game by a Patriots defender since Jerod Mayo made 23 tackles vs N.Y. Jets in 2008.
  • Registered his third double-digit tackle game of the season at N.Y. Jets (10/20), making 17 stops.
  • Posted his fifth double-digit tackle game of the season with 14 stops vs. Denver (11/24) and recovered a key third-quarter fumble that led to a Patriots touchdown - the first fumble recovery of his career.

  • Spikes started 39 of 47 games at Florida, including his final 38 appearances, recording 307 tackles (178 solos) with 6½ sacks for minus 42 yards, 31½ stops for losses totaling 89 yards and eight pressures.
  • Deflected 14 passes and intercepted six others, returning a school-record four for touchdowns.
  • Third linebacker in NCAA football since 1996 to return four interceptions for touchdowns in a career.
