  • Began his college career at Holmes (Miss.) Community College where he was a two-way standout before walking on at Mississippi State rather than taking a scholarship offers from Troy and Louisiana Tech.
  • Was awarded a full scholarship as a senior.
  • Played in 21 games for Mississippi State in 2011 and 2012.
  • In 2012, he recorded 23 tackles in 13 games with six starts.
  • Played in eight games in a reserve role at defensive tackle, including the last five of the regular season and the Music City Bowl in 2011.
