Biography

Justin Jones, 22, was a three-year starter and finished his career with 52 receptions for 598 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 6-foot-8, 277-pounder was not eligible to play last season. As a junior in 2012, he played in 13 games with five starts and caught 25 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS
Justin Jones was signed by the New England Patriots as a rookie free agent on May 12, 2014.

COLLEGE
Played in 32 games with nine starts over three years at East Carolina and totaled 52 receptions for 598 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Was ineligible for his senior season in 2013.
Registered two three-touchdown games in his career vs. Memphis (10/13/12) and at Marshall (11/26/11).

PERSONAL
Born Sept. 25, 1991, and is the son of Dee Jones.
Did not play competitive football until the ninth grade and was a three-year football letterman who played on both sides of the ball during his prep career at Heritage High School. Was a defensive all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Associated Press, and an all-county choice by the Rockdale Citizen.
Also picked up three basketball letters as a center and team captain.
Majored in criminal justice at East Carolina.
