- Helped the Patriots become the first team in 2010 to record over 100 rushing yards (103) against a stingy Steelers defense, including a 17-yard rush by BenJarvus Green-Ellis that was the longest run by any player against the Steelers this season. Also helped power Tom Brady to 350 passing yards.
- Was part of an offensive line that helped BenJarvus Green-Ellis to a career-high 112 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings (10/31).
- Played on an offensive line that helped power the Patriots rushers to 200 yards, the highest single-game total since Dec. 14, 2008 against the Buffalo Bills 9/26)

- Played in 14 games, starting eight, with five starts at left tackle and three starts at right tackle while missing two games due to injury.
- Started at left tackle in place of the injured Matt Light vs. Tennessee (10/18), at Tampa Bay (10/25), vs. Miami (11/8), at Indianapolis (11/15) and vs. the New York Jets (11/22).
- Started at right tackle in the final three games of the season, at Buffalo (12/20), vs. Jacksonville (12/27) and at Houston (1/3).
- Also utilized on special teams and as an eligible receiver as an extra blocker in short-yardage situations.
- Made his first NFL start vs. Tennessee (10/18) in the Patriots 59-0 win at left tackle in place of the injured Matt Light.

COLLEGE
- Vollmer did not start playing football until he was 14 years old, but still helped his German prep school win two national championships.
- U.S. college coaches lined up to sign Vollmer after he appeared in the 2004 Global Junior Championships in San Diego, but he spoke almost no English when he signed with Houston.
- He started his college career as a 250-pound tight end before growing into a first-team All-Conference USA left tackle as a senior.
- Five years removed from moving to this country, Vollmer became one of the top linemen in the Conference USA and started his last 25 games at tackle for the Cougars despite playing tight end and blocking back as a sophomore.
PERSONAL
- Sebastian Georg Vollmer was born to Jutta and Werner Vollmer on July 10, 1984, in Duesseldorf, Germany.
- Attended Quirinus Gymnasium (Germany).
- Helped lead his prep team to a 25-0 record over his career.
- Named to the European All-Star team and was twice a member of national championship teams.
- Did not begin playing football until he was 14.
- Was also recruited to play football at Western Michigan, Louisiana Tech and Indiana.
- Earned a degree in communications and economics at Houston.
EXTRA POINTS
- Played soccer and was a swimmer while growing up in Germany. He began playing football at the age of 14 for the Duesseldorf club team called the Duesseldorf Panther. That led to him playing for the national team and the European All-Star team that participated in the Global Junior Championships in San Diego, Calif., where he was recruited by the University of Houston.
- While at Houston, Sebastian earned the nickname "Sea Bass".
