• Saw time at the end of the Bills game, completing his first pass of the season, a 22-yard pass to Rob Gronkowski that gave him the NFL single season record for receiving yards by a tight end.

• Finished his career ranked among Michigan State's career leaders in pass attempts (second - 896), passing yards (third - 6,159), pass completions (third - 500), touchdown passes (sixth - 35).

• Brian Hoyer was born the son of Julie and Axel Hoyer on October 13, 1985.
• Was a two-year starter for Coach Chuck Kyle at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland.
• Associated Press Division I honorable mention all-state selection as a senior while completing 158-of-281 throws for 2,570 yards, 21 touchdowns in 2003.
