Jon Halapio was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

CAREER NOTES
  • Appeared in 51 games at Florida and made 43 starts for the Gators.
  • Elected captain twice by his teammates as a junior and senior.
  • Registered 38 touchdown-resulting blocks for the running corps during his starting assignments. Also recorded 308 key blocks/knockdowns.

SEASONAL REVIEWS
Senior Year (2013):
  • Voted a team captain for the 2013 season by his teammates.
  • Missed the first two games of the season while recovering from injury.
  • Started the final 10 games of the season at right guard. 
  • Led the team with 83 knockdowns and provided nine touchdown-resulting blocks.

Junior Year (2012):
  • Named team captain, as the All-Southeastern Conference second-team choice started all 13 games at right guard.
  • In the team’s first seven games, the Gators rushed for 16 touchdowns.
  • The junior led the Gators with 90 knockdowns and 13 touchdown-resulting blocks.
  • The team generated 4,347 yards in total offense, an average of 334.4 yards per game, placing 103rd in the nation.

Sophomore Year (2011):
  • Started all 13 games at right guard, coming up with 81 knockdowns and 10 touchdown-resulting blocks.
  • Only member of Florida’s offensive line to start every game at the same position on the year.
  • Part of an offensive line that paved the way for a league-leading 5.0 yards per carry.
  • Opened the year as the starting left guard, filling the void for graduated All-American Rodney Hudson, after making four starts at right guard in 2010.
  • Got his first work at center in the second half against Charleston Southern and took over the starting duties the following week against No. 1 Oklahoma.
  • Had a 10-game stretch without allowing a sack and yielded just three over the course of the season.
  • Selected the offensive warrior in the weight room at the team's annual banquet.

Redshirt Freshman Year (2010):
  • Played in 12 games, starting at right guard in seven games.
  • Named to the 2010 SEC All-Freshman Tea and named to the 2010 Sporting News All-Freshman Team.
  • Made his first-career start in the season opener at right guard.

Redshirt (2009):
  • Received a medical redshirt after appearing in three games.

HIGH SCHOOL:
  • Played all five positions on the offensive line in high school.
  • Named First-Team All-Pinellas County as a senior by the St. Petersburg Times.
