Biography

Cohen, 6-3, 300 pounds, went to training camp with the Patriots this past summer but was released on September 3, 2011. He was originally signed by the Patriots on December 22, 2010 and played in two games with one start and finished with four tackles. He is a veteran of three NFL seasons after spending time with the Detroit Lions (2008-09), Jacksonville Jaguars (2010) and Patriots (2010). Cohen entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick by Detroit in 2008 NFL of Ohio.

  • Played in three games for the Patriots, including his first career playoff game vs. N.Y. Jets (1/16). Finished the season with four tackles.
  • Made his Patriots debut in a start at nose tackle at Buffalo (12/26), finishing the game with three tackles.

2010 (2/0 - Jacksonville)

  • Went to training camp with Detroit but was waived on Sept. 4.
  • Claimed off waivers by Jacksonville on Sept. 5.

  • Grew up a fan of the Carolina Panthers with his favorite player being RB Stephen Davis, who graduated from the same high school as Cohen.
