There is a brand new podcast for Patriots fans to check out. Patriots Off Topic is bringing you behind-the-scenes stories, news and player interviews, and the very first episode premiered on Aug. 2, with Kyle Van Noy as a special guest.

Here is what we learned from Kyle's interview.

When he's not on the football field, Kyle can be found golfing, and his number one golf partner is the Patriots No. 3. Kyle and Stephen Gostkowski golf together from time to time. He also credited Stephen, as well as other teammates, with giving great advice as a soon-to-be father.

Though the two time Super Bowl champion has had some great things happen in his life, he said he is often the victim of bad luck, small things going awry.

"I don't know if I want to say this out loud, but I tell people I have the best worst luck ever," Kyle said. "I have great things happen and then I have things that happen, where it's like, 'Oh that wouldn't happen to anyone else but me.' It doesn't faze me anymore I'm just so used to it."

Kyle and his wife Marissa went to the ESPYs together in July, and he said while it was a great night, making an exit was made easier because of Gronk. He said his former teammate led them out a back exit as the confetti started flying, and in signature Gronk style, he had fun with it.

"The confetti started flying and the floor was a little slippery, so he felt like his dance moves were coming out a little bit. It was a little bit embarrassing, but good visuals."

Kyle and Marissa took some time on the red carpet this offseason, but they also put in work in the community through their Van Noy Valor Foundation. With the goal of providing unique and empowering experiences to adopted kids, kids in foster care and at-risk youth, Kyle said they hope to help 5,000 kids in 2020. He talked about events they did this offseason, like a high ropes course and a movie premiere, and said those experiences are an important part of what they do.

"I'm glad the kids at that time don't have to think about anything except having fun, and that's all that matters to me," he said.

This season, he will be continuing his ticket giveaways on a new YouTube channel. Kyle said he hopes to show appreciation to fans and people he encounters and will share it on his channel. Be sure to keep an eye out for that when the season picks up.
