The Patriots are well into their scouting process with Bill Belichick spending the week attending various pro day workouts on college campuses. Earlier in the week the Patriots boss was at Minnesota and Virginia for pro days. On Tuesday he and player personnel director Nick Caserio wound up at Auburn University.
More than 20 prospects were expected to be on hand, among them wide receiver Sammie Coates, defensive linemen Gabe Wright and Angelo Blackson and the intriguing Nick Marshall, who played quarterback for the Tigers but is expected to transition to defensive back in the NFL.
Belichick spent time with NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock and put players, including Wright and Blackson (pictured), through some positional workouts.
