In Case You Missed It: Mini-camp takes off

Patriots mandatory mini-camp took place this week at Gillette Stadium and now the only thing left before the start of the 2014 season, is training camp. On Day 1 of the three-day camp, Jimmy Garoppolo addressed the media for the second time since being drafted by the team. With Ryan Mallett out, Garoppolo got plenty of reps this week and Paul Perillo says he made the most of it. Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon, Tommy Kelly, Chandler Jones and Josh Boyce also spoke with the media following the first session of mini-camp.

Unfortunately, after performing well during OTAs, Josh Boyce injured himself and had to leave the field in Day 2. Along with Boyce, Darrelle Revis may have also suffered a small injury because he was not spotted for the second half of practice. With Boyce not on the field, it was Kenbrell Thompkins turn to step up and he looked good. Thompkins met with the media after practice -- he along, with Will Smith, said he's working hard and trying to improve day-by-day. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick also held interviews that day. Belichick said that the team has a long way to go, while Brady showed that he's as hungry as ever for another Championship.

On Day 3 of mini-camp, Darrelle Revis returned to practice and later spoke with the media. He talked about his relationship with Coach Belichick and much more. In addition to Revis, Vince Wilfork also met with the media after practice and told reporters that he's happy to be back and his ankle feels good. But arguably the biggest news of the day was that Dominique Easley made his first appearance on the practice field. The team's first round pick had a full sleeve on his leg but was participating in drills at the start of practice.
