Inactive Analysis: J-Mac back in the lineup

A rapid-reaction examination of which Patriots will and won't suit up for Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Cornerback Jason McCourty will suit up for today's game against Buffalo. He's been limited at practices and missed last week's game at Cincinnati due to a lingering groin issue.

The Patriots will welcome McCourty's return to the backfield, as fellow corner Jonathan Jones is out today with the same type of injury. Jones suffered his groin injury during the latter stages of the win over Cincinnati last weekend. He was unable to practice this past week as a result. So, the club ruled him out for this game on Thursday, when the final injury report was distributed.

With Jones on the sidelines for this one, rookie Joejuan Williams could see more action, as he did versus the Bengals a week ago.

The rest of New England's inactive list is status quo from last weekend and all are healthy scratches (not listed on the injury report): QB Cody Kessler, O-linemen Jermaine Eluemunor and Korey Cunningham, TE Ryan Izzo, rookie RB Damien Harris, and rookie DL Byron Cowart.

The Bills, meantime, are a relatively healthy group entering this contest. With the exception of backup offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe, all their inactive players are healthy scratches as well.
