FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Safety Terrence Brooks will be back in the lineup tonight for New England after sitting out the regular season finale last weekend with a groin injury. His return isn't a moment too soon for the Patriots' secondary, either, as they'll need all the help they can get covering Tennessee's three talented tight ends.
The news isn't so good, however, for CB Jason McCourty, who's also dealing with a groin problem. He'll miss yet another contest, his fifth in the last month-and-a-half. Tennessee is ailing somewhat at the wide receiver position, though, where Adam Humphries is out with an ankle issue (he didn't practice all week), and Kalif Raymond, whose concussion limited him this past week, was downgraded from questionable to doubtful on Friday, then ruled out just moments ago. Former Patriot Cody Hollister is also going to be a spectator tonight because of an ankle issue that limited him in practice all week.
The remainder of New England's inactive players tonight are usual suspects, all healthy scratches (not listed on the injury reports): QB Cody Kessler, O-linemen Jermaine Eluemunor and Korey Cunningham, TE Ryan Izzo, rookie RB Damien Harris, and rookie DL Byron Cowart.
