Jets soar in the second half

The New York Jets handed the Patriots their first divisional loss of the season. They only raked in 88 yards in the first half, but exploded after Glenn Foley entered the game in the second half, three touchdown effort.

The Patriots grabbed their first points as Neil O'Donnell was called for intentional grounding in his end zone. The result was a safety and a 3-2 score with the Jets still leading.
Vinatieri poked through a field goal and at the half it was 5-3.
The Patriots opened the second half with an 80-yard drive aided by Troy Brown's 67-yard reception and capped by an 8-yard touchdown pass to Coates.
The Jets counteracted with a 74 yard scoring job that put them two points behind the Patriots.
The Patriots retaliated by scoring on a 23-yard touchdown pass by Brown.
The Jets then took the lead by scoring 14 unanswered points and defeating the Patriots 24-19.
