Jets waive former fourth-round DT Harper

The New York Jets waived defensive tackle Alan Harper. Harper was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2002 draft.

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2005) -- The New York Jets waived defensive tackle Alan Harper.

Harper was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2002 draft. He played in 11 regular-season games last year and posted six tackles. He was active for both postseason contests and recorded three tackles, two solo.

Harper was allocated to NFL Europe in the summer of 2004, where he had 36 tackles and three sacks for the Scottish Claymores.
