March Pats-ness down to 8!

Just as with the action on the hardwood, the voting in the inaugural March Pats-ness tournament has cut the field down to an exceptional group of eight players this Easter weekend.

As the voting concluded on Friday in PFW's attempt to get fans' to break down the greatest offseason veteran free agent and trade additions of the Bill Belichick era, the results were pretty much as expected by the seeding of the tournament's selection committee.

Each of the top seeds – Randy Moss, Corey Dillon, Rodney Harrison and Mike Vrabel – advanced in impressive fashion with dominant opening-round voting.

Really, there was only one upset in the round of 16, as running back Antowain Smith beat out No. 2-seeded linebacker Roman Phifer.

Despite the protestations of some on Twitter, including former Patriots linebacker Rosevelt Colvin, the round of eight includes three 1-vs.-2 battles and the aforementioned 1-vs.-3 matchup that has Smith trying to pull the massive upset against No. 1 overall seed Moss.
