UPDATE -- The Panthers are hiring Baylor's Matt Rhule per reports from Pete Thamel of Yahoo, so that will take McDaniels out of consideration there.
The Patriots signed seven members of their practice squad to futures contracts. The team operated below capacity on the PS for most of the second half of the season.
