The return of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski generated plenty of buzz in Foxborough on Tuesday as the Patriots issued more than 100 media credentials and about two dozen cameras were fixed on their every move as they made their way onto the practice fields.

Brady's presence certainly picked up the pace of things, and as his teammates said, the volume as well. The Boston Globe said with Brady came a return to normalcy in Foxborough. The Providence Journal says it's back to business for the Patriots … at least for now.

ESPN.com says the Gronkowski just wanted to take care of his body and that's why he chose to skip the voluntary work this spring. The Boston Herald said Gronkowski's return was a lot of fun for all involved.

The Boston Globe said Julian Edelman was excited to increase his workload during mini-camp, which saw the receiver take his first reps against a defense this offseason. They also offer some of the highlights from Tuesday’s practice. NBC Sports Boston also has a breakdown of Day 1 of Patriots mini-camp.

The Boston Herald chats with young corner Ryan Lewis, who has gotten a lot of reps during practices this spring. The Boston Sports Journal wonders if Deatrich Wise can make the leap from part-timer to premier pass rusher. MassLive.com talks with Jordan Matthews, who said he knew the Patriots playbook would be complicated because he plays Madden.

Finally, Matthew Slater tells WEEI.com that the new kickoff rules will take some time to adjust to but is thankful they play still exists.
