Biggest Patriots story of the day so far is the reported retirement of co-captain and starting guard Dan Connolly. He informed ESPN of his decision today, and now the other major media outlets that cover the Patriots are starting to pick up the story, including *The Boston Globe*, CSNNE.com, WEEI.com, and NESN.com.

And at the ESPY Awards last night, TE Rob Gronkowski came home a winner, as you can see on ABC News’ website.

Aside from that, pretty quiet on the Patriots news front this Thursday.
