The Texans will be the opponent on Sunday, and facing J.J. Watt keeps offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia up at night. The Boston Globe expects the Patriots to kick things up a notch on special teams this season. In turn, Watt had plenty of praise for Belichick, Brady and the Patriots.

The Boston Herald says the much-maligned Patriots receivers have a chip on their shoulders. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could face a play-calling dilemma.

The Providence Journal has Dont'a Hightower feeling good heading into the season – and hoping to stay that way. The Athletic says Eric Rowe is ready for his shot to start against the Texans. NBC Sports Boston checks in with Texans coach Bill O'Brien, who sees a similar passion in his quarterback Deshaun Watson and Brady. Rex Burkhead was not on the first practice participation report of the season. MassLive.com looks at how the Texans can cause problems with their defensive front.

From the Texans perspective, the Houston Chronicle has tight end Ryan Griffin tired of losing to the Patriots. The paper offers some insight from the Texans locker room as well. A Week 1 win would mean much more to the visitors, who have been unable to beat Brady in the past.
