Earlier this week, the Patriots signed DL Terdell Sandsto help bolster the defensive line. Additionally, the status of NT Vince Wilforkfor Sunday's game against the Ravens is unknown meaning Sands could pay instant dividends for the defense. The *Providence Journal *reports Sands is excited to get started with his new team." It's a good opportunity. To come from the (Raiders) program that I came from, it's a great opportunity to come win and contribute the best way I can," Sands said. "I was always expecting something. I was hoping I'd get an opportunity. I was just hoping the opportunity came. They just called, and I was happy to come."

According to the Sun Chronicle, some players on the Patriots will sport pink football gear during Sunday's game to raise awareness for breast cancer. Click here to find out which players will do so.

The *Assosiated Press *reports former Patriots LB Junior Seau, while attending last night's Boston Bruins game, told Bill Belichick to call him. Seau has come out of retirement twice to join the Patriots.
