*The Boston Globe* and the **Boston Herald **both note the return of safety Rodney Harrison. Harrison, who tore three ligaments in his knee last season, was seen wearing a knee brace at yesterday's practice. Harrison has started all 41 games (six in the playoffs) that he has played for New England, but wasn't immediately placed onto the first unit, a clear indication that he will not play against the Falcons in the first exhibition game Friday.
Another smiling face to return yesterday belongs to center Dan Koppen. Both *The Globe* and the *Herald* note his return. Koppen injured his shoulder last season and has been rehabbing during the first week of training camp. ``I think we cleared the whole training room out today," Koppen said.
The Boston Globe's Sasha Talcott reports that the Fenway Frank could be in for some serious competition. The New England Patriots are rolling out hot dogs, bratwurst, and sausages named after the team, complete with the Patriots logo on the package.
The Herald's Rich Thompson offers a feature on cornerback Randall Gay, another player who returned from the PUP yesterday. Last season, Gay suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 at Carolina but played through the pain against Denver, Indianapolis and Miami before being placed on injured reserve.
Boston Herald writer John Tomase reports defensive lineman Johnathan Sullivan's presence on the practice field. Sullivan returned, reportedly finally completing the conditioning run, but refused to make comments after yesterday's practice.
Albert Breer of the MetroWest Daily News offers a piece on tight end Daniel Graham, another Patriot who returned from the physically unable to perform list yesterday.
Also, Globe writer Mike Reiss offers his daily blog and mailbag.
