Every year, the Pro Football Hall of Fame hosts a photo contest that honors the best images of the season and the talented photographers who captured them.
Although the Patriots don't feature in the winning photo – it's an action shot from a Ravens-Cowboys preseason game – they do appear in four of the top 10 feature shots of 2014.
Three of the photos come from Super Bowl XLIX, including a shot by Bob Breidenbach of the Providence Journal that captures Rob Gronkowski celebrating with the Lombardi Trophy. The above image, meanwhile, was taken by NFL.com photographer Aaron M. Sprecher before the game against the Broncos on November 2. It is titled "Don't Touch Elvis."
As explained on the Pro Football Hall of Fame website, the "prestigious contest represents the highest level of excellence in the field of photography and was open to professional photographers on assignment to cover NFL games. Photos taken during the 2014 NFL season, that included Super Bowl XLIX and the 2015 Pro Bowl, were eligible."
