With snow expected throughout New England this weekend, Gillette Stadium officials are encouraging fans to carpool or take the MBTA commuter rail to Gillette Stadium for Sunday's 1 p.m. kickoff against the Arizona Cardinals.
Fans are encouraged to take the MBTA, which has increased capacity on its trains, allowing up to 2,000 fans to ride the trains to the game from Boston and Providence. Trains will depart from South Station in Boston at 11:00 a.m. (with stops in Back Bay, Dedham and Norwood) and from Providence at 11:00 a.m. (with stops in South Attleboro, Attleboro and Mansfield). Both trains depart Foxborough approximately 30 minutes after the end of the game. The round trip fare is $12. For more information about attending Sunday's game via MBTA, visit the MBTA website (click here), or call the MBTA at 617-222-3200. Fans can also call the Patriots ticket office information line at 800-543-1776.
For fans driving to the game, Gillette Stadium officials encourage everyone to carpool and to be patient during anticipated traffic delays. The parking lots at Gillette Stadium open at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday and gates to the stadium open at 11:00 a.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The largest, most accessible parking lots are the P10 and P11 lots, located directly across Route 1 from Gillette Stadium. Access and egress to and from these stadium parking lots is much quicker if fans arriving on Route 1 from the north use the right lanes to access P10. Likewise, fans arriving from the south must use the left lanes to access P11 or P10.
