Robert Kraft brings the laughs at Boston's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast

Everyone knows that parking in Boston during the winter requires a bit of creativity – even Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

As a special guest speaker at this year's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast on Sunday, Mr. Kraft recalled a past visit to Boston for the annual event.

"The last time I was here I had trouble parking and my good friend Congressman Lynch said, 'Put a chair out there. It'll be fine,'" Mr. Kraft joked, referencing the city's unwritten rule about saving parking spots during snowstorms.

"It wasn't fine. It didn't happen. So, I decided to bring a different space saver this time," he told the crowd before revealing the Lombardi Trophy, decorated for the occasion with a green Patriots hat.

And the trophy wasn't alone in its festive team attire.

Mr. Kraft began his speech wearing a navy Patriots jacket but revealed a green and white team T-shirt underneath, admitting he's not usually "comfortable" wearing the colors thanks to "a certain New York football team."

"But," he told the crowd, "I'm proud and comfortable to do it today."

Jokes aside, Mr. Kraft used his time at the mic to thank the state's politicians for their support of both the New England Patriots and Revolution. He even gave a special nod to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for helping make the Patriots' February 4 Super Bowl championship parade such a big success.
