EXTRA POINTS

James White and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Giovani Bernard have been close friends for a long time. Gio lost his mother at a young age, and his father lost his business and eventually the family home when he was in high school. Their only option for shelter was a car. That's when White's parents intervened and the two running backs lived together for their senior year of high school. "I consider [White] my brother. There was never a time that I didn't consider him that," Bernard told The Providence Journal. "His family did so much for me." The Whites had a spare bedroom because their eldest son, Tyrone Jr., was away at college. "He was pretty much like my brother. We treated him like family and still do," White said.
