There is no offseason for giving back, and no one knows that better than Rob Gronkowski.
Gronk donated money to three New England hospitals this week, paying visits to Boston Children's, The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center and Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I. Gronk, along with his brothers Gordie Jr. and Dan and their father, visited all three hospitals in one day, playing with the kids there and donating $25,000 at each stop.
Gronk raised the money for the hospitals with postseason raffles through his Gronk Youth Nation Foundation. The "Ultimate Big Game Experience Giveaway" sent two people to the Super Bowl.
The visits on Tuesday are a common occurence for Gronk.
While Gronk is known for being a goofy guy off the field, it shouldn't be a surprise that the tight end has a big heart. Over his years in New England, Gronk has worked closely with local children's hospitals, especially Boston Children's.
In 2016, Boston Children's honored Gronk with their Champions Award for the work he does with the hospital and its patients, and Gronk has visited the kids there countless times. The donations are just another moment in a meaningful relationship between the Patriot and the local hospitals.
