Tom E. Curran](http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/road-draft-uclas-xavier-sua-filo) of CSNNE.com believes that UCLA guard Xavier Su'a-Filo could be a player the Patriots consider selecting in the first round of May's NFL draft.

"Logan Mankins is entering the final year of his deal and has a fat cap hit," writes Curran. "The Patriots could absolutely be looking at the final season for their iconic left guard. Su'a-Filo makes perfect sense if Mankins goes back to the ranch. If Mankins doesn't leave and right guard Dan Connolly -- also in the final year of his contract -- does depart, Su'a-Filo can move there." READ MORE>>

Doug Kyed of NESN.com writes that the Patriots are viewed as favorites to sign free agent DE Will Smith, according to a report from ProFootballTalk.

"The Patriots currently have Michael Buchanan and Jake Bequette behind Jones and Ninkovich on the depth chart at defensive end," adds Kyed. "Linebacker Jamie Collins also played that role in college, and could move between the two positions in 2014." READ MORE>>

Christopher Price of WEEI.com writes that the Patriots will be working out three Boise State draft prospects on Wednesday.

"The Patriots are scheduled to put three Boise State players through their paces on Wednesday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun," writes Price. "Wide receiver Geraldo Boldewijn and offensive linemen Matt Paradis and Charles Leno are all set to take part in a workout with New England coaches and a few Boise State players, per a league source."
