In Case You Missed It: Recapping the final week of OTAs

In case you missed it, we wrap up all our coverage from this week including the Patriots many charitable events and OTAs.

The third and final week of OTAs took place this week at Gillette Stadium. Starting next Tuesday, the team will hold its mandatory mini-camp. Sebastian Vollmer was back on the field, while Jimmy Garoppolo looked to be playing better this week than he had during last Thursday's media access. For more on this week's OTAs, check out Andy Hart's OTA Blogservations.

The New England England conducts an organized team activity on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

The team also announced a few transactions this week, including the signing of TE Kyle Auffray and WR Jeremy Johnson. Auffray is a 6-foot-5 tight end from New Hampshire who spent just over two months with the Arizona Cardinals prior to training camp in 2013. Johnson on the other hand, is a rookie out of Southern Methodist University who led his team with 112 receptions for 1,112 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2013. Additionally, there were reports that the team hosted former Browns LB Quentin Groves for a visit on Wednesday. We'll be sure to keep you updated with all the teams moves as we near training.

Earlier this week, the Patriots Charitable Foundation announced the 2014 Myra Kraft Community MVP winners and both Robert Kraft and Tom Brady were on hand. Brady talked about the current status of the team, while Kraft was asked about the future of the Draft and much more. But Brady and Mr. Kraft weren't the only Patriots feeling charitable this week. On Sunday, Rob Gronkowksi (who was listed as the NFL's 41st best player

this week) shaved his head to raise money in support of cancer, while others showed up to support the Kevin Faulk Foundation by playing a little softball over the weekend.

Other fun events this week included the Patriots Fantasy Football Camp with Tom Brady and Jerod Mayo as well as Tedy Bruschi's SBLI Football Clinic. But possibly the most comical moment of the week was when Devin McCourty settled a bet with his brother Jason by having him dress up as Pat Patriot for a day! Check it out!
