FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – In their first matchup since Super Bowl LII, the New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 17-10, at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, improving to 9-1 while securing their 19th consecutive winning season, the most since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. The highly-anticipated game also garnered the highest ratings of the week in the Boston market and second-highest ratings of the season.

The CBS (WBZ) 4:25 p.m. broadcast delivered a 38.2 local household rating and 64 share, second only to New England's Oct. 27 game against the Cleveland Browns (42.3 household rating, 67 share). The game averaged 1,649,100 viewers and peaked at 7:30 p.m. with nearly two million local viewers.

With the exception of their bye week, the Patriots have been the No. 1 event on television in Boston dating back to the first week of August. Both of the Patriots' top-rated games this season featured the broadcasting team of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, with Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sideline.

The Patriots will look to continue their winning ways on the field and in the ratings on Sunday when they return home to face the Dallas Cowboys in America's Game of the Week. The game will kick off at 4:25 p.m. at Gillette Stadium with FOX's Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling the game from the booth and Erin Andrews providing updates from the sideline. The broadcast can be seen locally on Boston FOX 25 (WFXT).
