Rob Gronkowski won't be the only Gronk at the Kentucky Derby this year, with a horse named after the Patriot qualifying for the event, and of course, Human Gronk has heard a thing or two about his counterpart.

And this week Gronk put his money where his name is -- acquiring a stake in the horse ahead of the big day.

Gronk partnered with the Phoenix Thoroughbreds this week, according to a press release from the investment group, and as soon as Gronk heard about the horse, he was pumped.

"This horse is a winner and I love a winner. When I heard about the racehorse being named after me, I started watching and got really stoked when he started winning," Gronk said. "He's won his last three and is now headed to the Derby. I'm all in: Welcome to the Gronk family, Gronkowski the Horse!"

Gronkowski the Horse even stands about the same height as Gronkowski the Human, and come May 5, the world will see if he can dominate like his namesake too.

Gronk and his teammate typically make the trip down the Churchill Downs, and this year's competitor adds a new layer of excitement for Gronk and the guys.

"I really can't think of anything cooler than having a top-class thoroughbred named after me -- except maybe having him win the Derby," Gronk said.

The two Gronks will come face-to-face for the first time Derby weekend. It's going to be epic.
