Patriots hit Churchill Downs in derby style

Several Patriots headed down to the Kentucky Derby. Check out their trip in pictures.

Let's Always Go.

The names of horses racing in the Kentucky Derby always spark conversation. They can be inspiring, like this year's winner, Always Dreaming. They can be funny, like Practical Joke.

Or they can be the G.O.A.T., like Five Rings.

OK, fine. So Five Rings wasn't a horse, (it would make a great name though) but the Super Bowl Champs were well represented at the 143rd annual Kentucky Derby. Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett all donned their best suits and hats, spending the weekend at Churchill Downs for a weekend of Kentucky Derby fun.

The crew rolled deep, with former Patriots Wes Welker and Lonie Paxton joining in on the fun, and though "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" didn't happen until Saturday, the weekend was full of activities and the Patriots rubbing elbows with a few living legends. Tom snapped pictures with folks like David Ortiz, Jerry Rice, Katie Couric and Aaron Rodgers, and the whole squad jammed out to live performances at the Barnstable-Brown Derby Eve Gala.

Of course, if people come to the Kentucky Derby for the race, they stay for the classic outfits. The Patriots have proven they can hold their own when it comes to style, and they didn't disappoint this weekend either.

Burgers and horses... hey 12 @tombrady

There were well-tailored suits, pastels and dapper hats, and though you can dress the guys up, they will still be their hilarious selves. (Cue Julian posing for a photo behind Tom while housing a burger.)

The Patriots trips to the Kentucky Derby are always legendary, and this year was certainly no exception.
