All NFL fan bases think they are the greatest in the league, and thanks to a recent study, we have a way to measure it. Patriots Nation can rest assured they are some of the best fans in the country.
A study from Emory University measured NFL teams by Fan Equity, Social Equity and Road Equity to see who truly has the best fans, and overall, Patriots fans come in at No. 2 in the league.
Patriots fans finish first in Social Equity, meaning they are engaged on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and more. In Fan Equity, or how much fans spend supporting their team, Patriots fans come in second, and on the road, their presence is fifth best in the league.Â
Overall, Patriots Nation only trails the Cowboys fan base, and the Eagles, Giants and Steelers round out the top five.
It takes a special type of football fan to have faith in a team even when a comeback seems impossible. It takes love to stand through the sleet and snow to cheer your team on as they roll through your city's streets. It takes true passion to support your team through the highest highs and lowest lows, and it's reasons like this that make Patriots fans one of a kind.Â
