Sophomore Year (2022 – Texas Tech)

• Opponents only caught 53.8 of the passes targeted at him (7-of-13), which ranked as the third-lowest clip on the team among defensive players with at least 10 targets
• Credited with playing in 137 snaps defensively by Pro Football Focus and an additional 127 snaps on special teams.
• Member of the kick return and punt coverage units throughout the season.

Redshirt Freshman Year (2021 – Texas Tech)

• Appeared in 10 games as a backup in the secondary or on special teams and made 1 tackle on the season, which came late in the win at Kansas (10/16).
• Member of the kickoff coverage, punt return and punt units throughout the season.

Freshman Year (2020 – Texas Tech)

• Saw action in one game as a true freshman, which came via special teams vs. Oklahoma (10/31).

• Utilized redshirt season.

PERSONAL

• Attended Lake Dallas High School in Lake Dallas, Texas.
• Two-way player who was named the All-Purpose Most Valuable Player for District 7-5A as a senior.
• Played on both sides of the ball with 31 rush attempts for 347 yards and 4 touchdowns. Also caught 9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
• Was a first team All-District 7-5A honoree as a junior in 2018 after recording 97 tackles with 3 interceptions, a pick-6, a fumble recovery and 4 pass breakups.
• Rated as a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals.
• Listed as the No. 71 safety in the 2020 class according to ESPN.
• Full name is Darrian "Kobee" Minor.
• Son of Darryl and Zsa Zsa Minor.
• Youngest of eight siblings.
• His father graduated and played football for Oregon State University, while his mother graduated from Grayson College.
• His father went on to play running back for the Washington Commanders in the 1980's.
• Brother, Darryl, was a linebacker on the Red Raider football team in 2019 after transferring from Abilene Christian.
