Metz, 26, spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons on the Tampa Bay practice squad as part of the International Player Pathway Program. The 6-foot-9, 330-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Chicago out of Cincinnati in 2023. Metz, who was born in Bavaria, Germany, appeared in 43 games with 27 starts during his collegiate career.
