In Case You Missed It: One week until camp!

In case you missed it we recap all our coverage from Patriots.com this week to get you ready for the start of training camp next week!

The countdown is 5. Five days until the start of training camp. Last week we began our daily segment "14 Questions" in which we answer YOUR Patriots questions as we await the start of camp. This week we answered 7 more questions for you including, Who's the Patriots 2014 MVP? Could Tony Gonzalez come to NE? Who's the team's best route runner? How good can the Patriots defense be? And can Dobson become a legitimate deep threat? We also took a look at the position battle at safety where Tavon Wilson and Patrick Chung could be fighting for a roster spot.

PFW's Erik Scalavino thinks this year's team is an upgrade from the one that lost to the Broncos in the AFC Championship last year. On paper, the team looks better both on offense and defense, but which side of the ball will be the strength of the team this year? PFW's Andy Hart says it'll be the defense because of the addition of Revis, while Paul Perillo says it'll be Brady and the offense per usual. Let us know what YOU think and vote in this week's Make Your Case column!

This week Patriots DL Armond Armstead announced his retirement. Armstead was signed by the Patriots on February 1, 2013 after one season with the Toronto Argonauts. Unfortunately, he never played a single down for New England after being placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List on August 26, 2013. The team also made two other transactions this week, releasing WR Jeremy Johnson and WR Reese Wiggins. Additionally the team announced the date for Ty Law's Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Join us on Friday, August 1 at 4:30pm in the NRG Plaza to welcome Ty Law into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Also make sure to check out Julian Edelman's experience as the pace car driver for last Sunday's NASCAR race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He says it gave him a new appreciation for NASCAR drivers!

Lastly, the Patriots 2014 tickets went on sale this week. Make sure you buy your tickets today before they're gone!
